Seed & Bean Market Cape Coral Review: Dinner, Wine Pairings and a Full Bar at The Cove

Seed & Bean Market Cape Coral Review: Dinner, Wine Pairings and a Full Bar at The Cove

If you only know Seed & Bean Market for coffee, breakfast, and lunch, there is another side to this Cape Coral restaurant.

Located at The Cove in Cape Coral, Seed & Bean serves dinner alongside a full bar program. Guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails, selected wines, and optional THC beverages.

We stopped in for a four-course dinner and wine-pairing experience. The meal showed just how much Seed & Bean has to offer after the morning coffee rush.

From creamy burrata and blackened Gulf shrimp to brown butter salmon and a hearty bone-in pork chop, each course brought something different to the table.

Burrata and Prosciutto Bruschetta

We started with the Burrata and Prosciutto Bruschetta. Creamy burrata and salty prosciutto were layered over crisp toasted bread.

The combination created a great balance of rich, savory flavors and contrasting textures.

The appetizer was paired with Ferrari-Carano Pinot Grigio from California. The wine was clean, crisp, and refreshing. Its citrus and peach notes helped cut through the richness of the cheese.

We also tried the Bruschettatini alongside the full appetizer. This smaller version is available during happy hour. It uses some of the same quality ingredients in a fun and approachable bite.

Gulf Shrimp and Grits

Next came the Gulf Shrimp and Grits. The dish featured blackened Gulf shrimp over creamy cheddar grits with apple chicken sausage.

The seasoned shrimp brought a bold, slightly smoky flavor. Meanwhile, the cheddar grits made the dish rich and comforting.

The apple chicken sausage added a subtle sweetness. That sweetness worked surprisingly well with the savory shrimp and creamy grits.

The dish was paired with Whispering Angel Rosé from Provence, France. This dry and smooth wine features notes of strawberry, raspberry, peach, and citrus.

Its bright flavor added a refreshing contrast to the richness of the dish.

Brown Butter Seared Salmon

The Brown Butter Seared Salmon came next. It was served over roasted squash risotto and finished with toasted pepita seeds.

The nutty brown butter complemented the salmon beautifully. Roasted squash added a touch of natural sweetness to the creamy risotto.

Toasted pepitas also brought some much-needed crunch to the dish. Together, the ingredients created a thoughtful mix of flavors and textures.

The salmon was paired with Loveblock Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. This certified organic and vegan-friendly wine is dry and refreshing.

It features notes of green apple and citrus with a subtle hint of basil. The bright flavors helped balance the rich salmon and risotto.

Grilled Bone-In Pork Chop

We finished the meal with the Grilled Bone-In Pork Chop, the heartiest entrée of the evening.

The pork chop came with carrots, onions, celery, cauliflower mashed potatoes, and shaved Brussels sprouts. A savory red wine reduction finished the plate.

The creamy cauliflower mash balanced the richness of the pork. Meanwhile, the vegetables added freshness, color, and texture.

Overall, this was a substantial dinner entrée. It brought familiar comfort-food flavors together with a more elevated presentation.

The pork chop was paired with La Crema Pinot Noir from California’s Russian River Valley. This medium-bodied wine features notes of plum and pomegranate with a slight earthiness.

Those flavors paired especially well with the pork and red wine reduction.

More Than Coffee: A Full Bar in Cape Coral

Seed & Bean Market is known for coffee and café favorites. However, its Cape Coral location offers something more for guests looking to stay awhile.

The first two Seed & Bean locations offered beer and wine. The Cape Coral location expanded the concept with a full liquor bar.

Bar Manager Todd guided us through each wine pairing. He also explained why each wine was selected for its dish.

Beyond wine, the bar offers a wide selection of spirits and creative cocktails. That makes Seed & Bean a fun option for happy hour, dinner, or a Cape Coral date night.

The food and drink menus follow a similar approach. Both focus on quality ingredients, bold flavors, and creative touches.

At the same time, the atmosphere remains welcoming and approachable.

Is the Food at Seed & Bean Infused With Cannabis?

One question we wanted to clear up is whether the restaurant food contains THC or other cannabis products.

It does not.

The food at Seed & Bean Market is not infused with THC, CBD, or other cannabis products.

However, the restaurant does offer optional THC beverages. These include THC seltzers and THC cocktails, known as Elixirs.

The THC options are listed separately from the traditional drink menu. Guests can also ask the Seed & Bean team questions about the available products.

Prefer a traditional cocktail, wine, beer, or nonalcoholic drink? Those options are available too.

You can visit Seed & Bean for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or drinks without ordering any cannabis-related products.
