We visited Fathoms Restaurant & Bar on a busy Tuesday evening and left genuinely impressed by the atmosphere, live music in Cape Coral, and overall experience. With the weather finally cooling down, Cape Coral waterfront dining setting at Cape Harbour Marina becomes even more special — beautiful sunsets reflecting over the marina and boats create the perfect backdrop for dinner. If you want to preview the menu, drinks, or upcoming events before heading out, check out Fathoms Restaurant & Bar online for further details!
Before we arrived, I asked our Cape Coral Reviewed Facebook Group what time we should show up to secure a table before the live band started at 6 PM. Most suggested 4:00 PM–5:30 PM, so we showed up right at 5 PM and snagged one of the last two tables. Within the hour, locals filled the courtyard with their own chairs, ready for a fun night out — a perfect example of Cape Coral nightlife.
The Night Owls performed and delivered a fantastic show, giving guests an unforgettable experience of live music in Cape Coral, including their crowd-pleasing cover of Santana’s “Oye Como Va”. And beyond the music, Fathoms is known for something we genuinely admire: they host fun community events and pitch in for local fundraisers, including those supporting Cape Coral schools. Supporting a spot that supports the community always feels good.
When it came to ordering, everyone at the table wanted something different — so we went for calamari, honey BBQ wings, cheese pizza, and a sushi roll. Prices lean higher (my favorite Blackened Steak Salad is $25), but the toppings, flavor, and perfectly seasoned steak justify the splurge.
Arriving early also meant we enjoyed Happy Hour, which offers great value. We ordered the beef sliders with caramelized onions ($14), BBQ wings ($15), and the Surf & Turf appetizer — which isn’t what you might expect. It includes a Chicago-style egg roll stuffed with Italian shaved beef, plus the Tsunami Roll, topped with ahi tuna and krabmeat. A fun combo and surprisingly filling.
The biggest surprise of the night? Drink pricing — the signature Pear Old Fashioned was $18, my White Cosmo was $12, and craft draft beers run about $7. For those searching for places to eat in Cape Coral, Fathoms is a must-visit.
Another bonus: parking is free in the large public parking garage at Cape Harbour, making it easy to visit even on busy nights. If you’re exploring things to do in Cape Coral, Fathoms makes for a perfect evening spot.
