If you’re craving something sweet and local, The Sweet Spot in Cape Coral is worth checking out. This cozy creamery serves up Yoder’s Amish hand-churned artisan ice cream from Sarasota — a smooth, old-fashioned treat that tastes like nostalgia in a cone.

📍 Location

Located next to The Greek Spot in Big John’s Plaza, The Sweet Spot sits right in the heart of Cape Coral. With plenty of parking and surrounded by some of the city’s best local restaurants, it’s the perfect place to end your meal with a sweet treat.

With so many dining options nearby, it’s a convenient stop for anyone looking for great ice cream in Cape Coral. If you want to see more details and all the local info, be sure to view The Sweet Spot on Cape Coral Reviewed.

🍨 First Impressions

Inside, the shop has a charming, old-school ice cream parlor vibe. A train circles above, passing over the glowing sign that reads “Sweet Spot Cape Coral” against a wall of greenery. On our visit, Papou and Ya-ya enjoyed their cappuccinos beneath the lights — exactly the cozy family moment this shop seems built for.

🍦 The Treats

I ordered the affogato, pairing it with the espresso chip ice cream — rich, smooth, and decadent. The only downside? It melted faster than I could eat it! Edgard went for a single scoop of salted caramel swirl in a freshly pressed waffle cone made to order.

With other locals spots serving Love Boat Ice Cream, it’s refreshing to see another artisan spin — or should I say, churn — on classic Florida favorites.

We also tried the fresh-squeezed lemonade, which came in a jumbo cup (too big for my cup holder but too good to leave behind). I prefer a slightly sweeter and more tart lemonade, but it was perfectly refreshing for a sunny afternoon.

👋 The People

Owner Paul stopped by to introduce himself — friendly, humble, and clearly proud of what he’s created. He and his wife also own The Greek Spot just two doors down and graciously invited us to stop by for an honest review of their authentic Greek recipes.

🎃 Seasonal Scoop

Although they were out of the soft serve listed on the menu, the Pumpkin Swirl — back by popular demand — was available and absolutely irresistible. Pumpkin lovers, take note: this popular option is one of their most requested seasonal ice cream flavors, and it won’t last long.

🥞 Crepes “Hot Off the Press”

If you’re looking for something a little more indulgent, The Sweet Spot also makes made-to-order crepes, hot off the press. They’re light, golden, and filled to perfection — think S’mores, complete with gooey chocolate and marshmallow, or the Peanut Butter, Banana & Honey that hits the perfect balance of sweet and nutty. Each crepe is freshly pressed and customizable, making it a fun twist on their dessert lineup.

☕ Coffee, Dairy-Free & Gluten-Free Options

Beyond ice cream, The Sweet Spot offers a full coffee and espresso menu — from cappuccinos and macchiatos to matcha and even an iced pistachio latte. They also feature dairy-free and gluten-free options, making it a welcoming stop for anyone with dietary preferences or sensitivities.

Don’t skip their sundaes, milkshakes, or cyclones, all made with homemade whipped cream and customizable with dozens of toppings. You can even try their signature pressed brioche ice cream sandwiches — a warm, gooey creation stuffed with your favorite ice cream and sauce combo.

Toppings include hot fudge, caramel, Biscoff cookie butter, marshmallow, peanut butter, strawberry, pineapple, nuts, coconut, Oreos, and more. Each topping is just $1 — and worth every penny.
