4 Dishes We Still Can’t Stop Thinking About in Cape Coral
One of my favorite parts of being out in the community with Cape Coral Reviewed is that every week brings a new local restaurant to explore. We get to meet the owners, hear their stories, step behind the scenes, and, of course, try the dishes they’re most proud of. If you’re searching for where to eat in Cape Coral, these are the meals that have stayed with us long after our visits.
While every restaurant has something unique to offer, every now and then there’s a meal that sticks with you long after the cameras stop rolling. It’s the kind of dish you recommend to friends, talk about weeks later, or plan another visit just to order again. If you’re looking for the best food in Cape Coral, these four dishes deserve a spot on your list.
The Taco Royale
The Salad King
When you hear “salad,” your mind probably doesn’t jump to tacos—but that’s exactly what makes the Taco Royale so memorable.
Loaded with seasoned taco beef, pico de gallo, Mexican cheese, corn, crunchy tortilla strips, and topped with homemade avocado ranch, it delivers all the flavors of taco night in a fresh, satisfying salad. It’s hearty enough to feel like comfort food while still showcasing what The Salad King does best: fresh, high-quality ingredients.

One of the things that impressed me most during our visit was learning about their partnership with Southwest Florida Produce. Many of their greens are grown specifically for the restaurant, so every bowl starts with incredibly fresh ingredients before it’s topped with bold flavors.
If you’re exploring Cape Coral restaurants that offer something a little different, this is an easy recommendation.
CCR Pick: The Taco Royale.

The Steak Bomb
Stella Marie’s Italian Market & Deli
Sometimes all you need is a really good sandwich.
The Steak Bomb at Stella Marie’s is piled high with shaved steak, peppers, onions, mushrooms, melted cheese, and served on fresh bread that brings everything together. It’s hearty, packed with flavor, and exactly what you’d hope to find in a neighborhood Italian deli.

What made the visit even better was getting to meet Bianca and learn about the family recipes and traditions behind the market. It’s one of those places where the hospitality is just as memorable as the food.
If you’re looking for places to eat in Cape Coral that serve unforgettable sandwiches, this one deserves a spot on your list.

Lomo Saltado
El Patio on the Cape
I love trying foods from different cultures, and El Patio on the Cape introduced me to a dish I’ll absolutely be ordering again.

Their lomo saltado perfectly balances tender steak, sautéed onions and tomatoes, crispy fries, and rice in a way that’s both comforting and full of bold flavor. It’s easy to see why it’s considered one of Peru’s signature dishes.
Combined with the warm hospitality and welcoming atmosphere, it’s a meal that makes you want to come back and explore even more of the menu. It’s also one of the must try restaurants for anyone wanting to experience authentic Peruvian flavors in Cape Coral.

Jerk Chicken
MandA’s Jamaican Jerk
When people think of Jamaican cuisine, jerk chicken is usually the first dish that comes to mind—and MandA’s shows exactly why.

Marinated with a blend of traditional Jamaican spices and grilled to lock in its bold, smoky flavor, the jerk chicken delivers just the right balance of heat and seasoning. Pair it with rice and peas, plantains, or one of their fresh house-made juices, and you’ve got a meal that’s both comforting and packed with authentic Caribbean flavor.
It’s one of those dishes that’s worth stepping outside your usual lunch routine for. It’s also a great introduction if you’ve never experienced authentic Jamaican cuisine. We think MandA’s belongs on any list of restaurant recommendations in Cape Coral.
