Cape Coral Trunk-or-Treat: A Night of Halloween Fun at City Hall

Cape Coral Trunk-or-Treat: A Night of Halloween Fun at City Hall

Princesses, dinosaurs, Ghostface from Scream, and Jason—Cape Coral families showed up in costume and ready for Halloween fun! Cape Coral’s annual Trunk-or-Treat at City Hall brought the community together for an evening of candy, creative displays, and entertainment.

The free, family-friendly celebration on Friday, October 23, filled City Hall at 1015 Cultural Park Boulevard with trick-or-treating, Florida food trucks, interactive inflatables, an outdoor movie, and a festive Halloween drone show.

An Early Start for Little Trick-or-Treaters

One thoughtful detail was the early trick-or-treating hour for children ages five and younger, from 5–6 p.m. The youngest visitors had their own time to explore the decorated trunks and collect candy before trick-or-treating opened to all ages from 6–8 p.m.

It gave families with little ones a chance to start the celebration early—and get some extra mileage out of those adorable costumes!

Creative Trunks and Halloween Costumes Everywhere

Local businesses, city workers, and members of the police department put their creativity on display. This gave families plenty to enjoy between candy stops.

CCPD Forensics brought a Mario-themed setup, while a Stranger Things-themed van added to the spooky fun. A pirate ship even dropped candy down to trick-or-treaters. There was more to discover than a bowl of candy at each stop!

The costumes were just as much fun to see. Princesses and dinosaurs shared the celebration with familiar spooky characters like Ghostface and Jason. Looking around at what everyone was wearing became part of the experience, with everything from sweet to scary represented.

Having local businesses and city employees involved also made the evening feel personal. These were people from our community helping create a special night for Cape Coral kids.

Food Trucks, Inflatables, and a Massive Pumpkin

There was plenty to explore beyond the decorated trunks. Interactive inflatables, a spooky train ride, and a massive pumpkin added to the Halloween atmosphere. Florida food trucks also gave families a chance to grab something to eat.

With activities to break up the trick-or-treating rounds, families could make a full evening of it instead of heading home once the candy bags were filled.

Getting Cozy for Casper

Families brought chairs and blankets to settle in for Casper at 7 p.m. The outdoor movie was shown on a jumbo screen for thousands to enjoy.

After walking around and collecting treats, the movie offered a chance to sit back and get comfortable together. Kids could stay in costume, keep their candy close, and enjoy a Halloween movie alongside other families from the community.

A Halloween Drone Show Worth the Wait

The Cape Coral Halloween drone show at 8:30 p.m. gave everyone another reason to stay.

The festive display lit up the sky and brought even more Halloween spirit to the celebration. And it was definitely worth the wait! It made for a memorable finish after an evening of costumes, candy, and community fun.

A Cape Coral Halloween Tradition

What made Cape Coral’s annual Trunk-or-Treat special was seeing so many people come together to make it happen. Businesses decorated trunks, city workers handed out candy, and families arrived in costume. Everyone helped bring the evening to life.

With an early hour for younger children, activities, food trucks, an outdoor movie, and a drone show, this free event offered plenty of family-friendly Halloween fun in Cape Coral.
