Empire Bagel Factory Cape Coral: Fresh New York-Style Bagels and Breakfast
Fresh New York-style bagels have officially arrived on Chiquita Boulevard. Empire Bagel Factory is now open in Cape Coral. The shop serves fresh bagels made fresh daily, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast bowls, lunch bowls, specialty cream cheese, pastries and a full coffee menu.
The first bite tells you how fresh these bagels are. They have that lightly crisp outside and soft, chewy center that makes a true New York-style bagel stand out. You can keep your order simple with cream cheese or turn it into a loaded breakfast sandwich.
A Family-Owned Bagel Shop With Southwest Florida Roots
Empire Bagel Factory was founded on Marco Island in 1994. Since then, it has grown into a Southwest Florida favorite with multiple locations. Despite that growth, Empire Bagel Factory remains family-owned and run by Rachel and Lucas Oest.

Rachel is originally from Long Island, New York. Bringing authentic New York-style bagels to Southwest Florida is an important part of what they do.
Together, Rachel and Lucas have continued growing Empire Bagel Factory. They have also kept family, freshness and consistency at the center of the business.
Now Cape Coral gets to experience it, too.
Fresh New York-Style Bagels in Cape Coral
Sometimes you have to start with the basics. I ordered a plain bagel with plain cream cheese.
The bagel was lightly crisp on the outside. It was warm and wonderfully chewy inside. The bagel came with a generous layer of cool, smooth cream cheese that worked its way into every bite.

It was simple, fresh and delicious. Honestly, a bagel this good doesn’t need much else.
Of course, keeping it simple gets harder when you see all the options.
Empire Bagel Factory offers traditional favorites like plain, sesame, poppy, onion and everything. Specialty flavors include Black Russian, Asiago, spinach, blueberry and cinnamon sugar. Availability may vary, so be sure to see what is fresh in the display window when you visit.
They also offer a pastry of the day that changes. That gives you another reason to look beyond your usual order. Pair it with coffee, and breakfast is handled.
Bacon, Egg and Cheese on a Poppy Bagel
Edgard went with a bacon, egg and cheese on a fresh poppy bagel. He also added ketchup.
The poppy bagel had a lightly nutty flavor. It was sturdy enough to hold the entire sandwich together without becoming tough.

Inside, the warm egg, melted cheese, smoky bacon and ketchup gave him the classic breakfast sandwich combination he was looking for.
It was filling and comforting. It was even better because it was served on a bagel made fresh that morning.
The Breakfast Bowl and That Fresh Salsa
We also tried the breakfast bowl with eggs, bacon and cheese.
The fluffy eggs, smoky bacon and melted cheese already made it a hearty breakfast. However, the fresh salsa completely elevated it.

It added brightness and a fresh burst of flavor. That helped cut through the richness of the eggs and cheese.
This is a great option if you want a filling breakfast without the bagel. Or, if you are like me, you can still order a bagel with cream cheese on the side. Why choose?
Bottomless Brewed Coffee and Specialty Espresso Drinks
And the coffee? So good.
Empire Bagel Factory offers bottomless brewed coffee. It is available hot or iced. It’s a great option for anyone who likes more than one cup with breakfast.

We also tried the macchiato and iced lattes from the specialty coffee menu. They were creamy and refreshing while still delivering plenty of coffee flavor. Several flavor options are also available.
Whether you want bottomless hot or iced brewed coffee with your bagel or a specialty espresso drink to take with you, there are plenty of options.
More Than a Cape Coral Breakfast Spot
Empire Bagel Factory Cape Coral offers more than Cape Coral breakfast. The menu also includes lunch options for anyone stopping in later in the day.
The family-owned company provides catering, large orders and wholesale bagels throughout Southwest Florida. These services are available for offices, events, restaurants, cafés, hotels and retailers.
You can stop in for one breakfast sandwich. You can also bring home a dozen fresh bagels or have Empire help feed an entire group.
Why Visit Empire Bagel Factory Cape Coral?
Empire Bagel Factory brings fresh bagels, filling breakfast options and seriously good coffee to Cape Coral.
There is enough variety to try something different each time. Still, the plain bagel with cream cheese proved that even the simplest order can be worth coming back for.
More importantly, this growing brand remains family-owned and run by Rachel and Lucas. Empire Bagel Factory may have multiple Southwest Florida locations. However, family and quality remain at the center of the business.
Bottom Line

The plain bagel was fresh and chewy. Edgard’s bacon, egg and cheese made for a satisfying breakfast sandwich. The fresh salsa brought the breakfast bowl to life. The brewed coffee menu gave us plenty of reasons to stay for another cup.
